Sustainability

At DWAB, we take sustainability incredibly seriously. For every project we complete, we plant a tree through the National Trust. We are proud to play our small part in reducing emissions and open up new habitats for wildlife. The staff at DWAB also hold ‘A Greener Festival’ Sustainability Accessor training and status.

Graphic Design & Web Design

At DWAB, we aim to design green wherever possible. This includes not using bleeds where possible, or using thinner fonts and designing less image-rich designs. Regarding the printing of designs, DWAB uses recycled material for their own print designs and encourages clients to do so too.

DWAB’s chosen supplier is an ISO 14001 certified business. This means they operate according to a strict set of internationally recognised standards for environmental business practice. The ISO 14001 covers all sorts of business activity, from air pollution to soil contamination. DWAB’s supplier only uses materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC). This means all paper and cardboard comes from sustainably managed forests.

Regarding web design, DWAB creates streamlined designs with simplified navigations. We also reduce the file sizes of images and the loading speed of the site, and ensure content is printer-friendly. These steps intend to make a client’s website more eco-friendly.

Facilitating & Producing

Wherever possible, DWAB opts for recycled, repurposed or bio-degradable materials when facilitating or producing a project. Once again, wherever possible, planning a project to ensure a legacy, and aiming for anything created to have multiple uses long after a project is over. Many of these actions go hand in hand with our accessibility actions.

“DWAB is fantastic to work with, a genuine passion shines through. A flashmob a quarter of a mile out to sea might be tricky for some but DWAB saw my vision from the start. They are an enthusiastic motivator of people - their can do attitude and energy is inspiring to both young people and adults they work with. I am confident DWAB’s ambition and skill is set to take any project they lead to a success.”
